To learn about Gender Equality in India, we need to look at Gender Inequality in India. It is a clearly known fact that gender bias exists in our country. We need to look at this topic in a bit more rational way. Gender inequalities impact India's sex ratio, women's health, their education and economic conditions.  Research shows gender discrimination mostly in favor of men in many fields including the workplace.  While Indian laws on rape, dowry and adultery have women's safety at heart, these highly discriminatory practices are still taking place at an alarming rate, affecting the lives of many today. The society needs to accept women as an equal workforce just like their male counterparts and as per the research conducted in the last few years suggests that  women’s workforce participation in India is going down.
