The scenarios around the world related to Gender Equality can be understood by the following statement," Gender equality in work is not possible without gender equality in society." The society needs to accept women as an equal workforce just like their male counterparts and as per the research conducted in the last few years suggests that  women’s workforce participation in India is going down. In 2004-05, the share of working-age women in paid jobs was 43%–the same as in 1993-94. This  dropped to 27%  in 2015-16. The debate about Gender Equality is not a new thing and is happening from a very long time.
